357 Magnum /38 Special

Description 357 Threaded Barrel  Rifled and also Chambered for 357 Magnum and will accept 38 Special as well All the liners / blanks we sell have been tested and can withstand the pressure of the round they are chambered for standalone. Barrel Liner Specifications Outside Diameter of .560″ for 6 & 11″ Outside Diameter of .570″ for 20 & 28″ Chambered end Threaded 9/16-18 NF Muzzle end Threaded 1/2-28 UNEF Chambered for 357 (Now chambered full SAAMI Specifications) Rifle dimensions for our 357 Threaded Barrel Blanks are .355″/.349″ with 6 lands and .125″ wide. 357 Threaded Barrel Blanks have a twist rate of: 1-12″ All of our barrel liners are also Crowned. We do not recommend Re-Chambering 357 Threaded Barrel Blanks for a different round, for instance, changing 380 auto to 38sp. Button-rifled! Made for people who would like to restore accuracy to older guns due to rusted, pitted or just worn out barrels. To install, first drill out existing rifling with a drill a little larger than the liner you are installing. For best results, we would recommend grinding or having someone grind a pilot on the drill about the size of the current rifling because this will keep it centered better , then solder the Barrel Liner in place. Or you can also use JB Weld or Acraglas gel because we have had many customers say they worked well. Because we are not gunsmiths, these are just suggestions based on what we have learned over the years and from the nice people that we have come in contact with. A skilled gunsmith with proper tools should be able to install these with no problem. 357 Threaded Barrel Blanks are specifically for custom builds. Chambered end Threaded 9/16-18 NF, Muzzle end is Threaded 1/2-28 UNEF  as a result it is easy to thread into a barrel block or frame.  In addition the muzzle end is threaded to attach a thread protector, muzzle break, Compensator or a  Flash Hider. WARNING: Our Gun barrel liners are made and tested for the rounds they are chambered for.  Only use with the specified rounds.
